Take a break from shopping and have a Carlsberg and the curry chips! The red curry sauce is amazing! The staff is always nice and quick. They will help you decide on a beer, if you aren’t sure what you would like. The food is always good. The beer cheese on the black bean burger is one of my favorite meals, especially with the curry chips and sauce. Great place to go for a beer and some good pub food.
Great place for eats and an amazing list of beers from all over the World. Superb for the Englishman who is on business and wants to watch the English Premier League. First class staff!
Great atmosphere! Outdoor patio was nice. Only place that would turn hockey games on for me! Amazing and friendly server who cares about her customers. If you go there get Valerie!
The Pub is a delightful addition to the International Mall’s first class dining choices – the place is so big that you could at the same moment consider it: a sports bar, a British pub with walls filled with English collectibles, a drinking pub, and a family restaurant.
I prefer the second floor where it is somewhat quiet and I can have their version of shepherd’s pie (cheese topped not pastry) and others can have burgers without a lot of people traffic. You can also be your own bartender and pour beer and ale at so much per ounce from a wall of choices.
Well managed and well staffed restaurant with good food and drink. You won’t have to hop a nearby plane and head for Picadilly.
Right accross from well-known chains such as The Cheesecake Factory, Brio, and Bar Louie is The Pub. After shopping at International Plaza the skies started to open up with a heavy storm my girlfriend and I decided this would be a perfect excuse to duck into The Pub and wait it out with a few drinks.
Well, a couple drinks turned into staying for a full meal. We posted up at the bar and I ordered a beer sampler while my girl got a Snake Bite (Harp layered with Cider). It’s great that they have imported English, Irish beers on tap. I tried the Old Speckled Hen, Wells Bombardier, Smithwick’s and they rain out of Hobgoblin… which ended up being a good thing because our bartender, Cory (who was excellent by the way), suggested the Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale. This Kentucky Bourbon flavored/inspired beer was so good I ordered one after I finished my flight (sipping beer, 8% abv).
The place was comfortable, lots of woodwork and pub themed decor and bar stools. The bartenders and servers wear kilts (guys and girls). This also seems like an awesome place to catch the upcoming 2014 World Cup!
We decided to stay and order food. We had the Curry Chips (steak cut french fries with a red and yellow curry sauce on the side) which was a small but appropriate portion for an appetizer. They were hot and the curry was full of Indian inspired flavor.
For the main course we both had the Shepard’s Pie which was tasty and full of mixed veg and flavors. We added some of their own steak sauce (just a bit) to kick it up a tiny bit more here and there. It was presented nicely with a mixed fresh salad with peppers and vegetables.
Will definitely be returning for some soccer matches or to kick it with friends.
