We were in Nashville for Valentine's Day weekend and staying just around the corner from The Pub. We stopped in on Sunday for lunch, there was a good crowd and we were sat right away. You know when you're in a nice place and you can't tell whether it's a tourist stop or locals. People looked very comfortable and food and drinks being taken to the tables around us looked great. My wife ordered the fish and chips, wow, what a nice piece of fish. The breading was light and the chips were nice and crispy. We could have both ate from that plate, and for the most part that's what we ended up doing. I ordered the Reuben, it was so good! The problem was that my wife looked defeated with the size of her plate so we ended up taking the sandwich with us back to the hotel. And it was just a good a few hours later as it was when served fresh. This is a place that you could easily have a few drinks, a great meal, and be able to walk the shops of the Gulch. My husband and I love The Pub because the decor and atmosphere makes it as close to an actual British pub as you can get here in the middle of Ohio and the food and drink selections are lovely. Parking: Because this is part of The Greene it's difficult to find parking nearby but not hard to find parking. Be prepared for a small walk from the lot to the restaurant. Wheelchair accessibility: Getting in the front doors could be interesting for a person in a wheelchair if they are on their own because they're kind of heavy. In Naples Mercato, for a special event, Santa Paws. Santa Claus sits by the Christmas tree for photo opportunity and you can bring your doggies as well! We visited The Pub for dinner prior to take picture with Santa! The décor is dark and warm inside, airy on the outside. Tonight, soft live music was provided by a soloist but I did not get her name. The main attraction is the large bar with an excellent selection of beers and drinks. Local Floridian beers are available as well popular beers from UK! I ordered a Smithwick Red Ale paired with their signature Fish and Chip. A huge piece of beer-battered Haddock over French Flies was cooked to perfection. Crunchy batter with moist Haddock filet is spot on! The creamy coleslaw is refreshing. Wife loved her Shepherd's Pie. The beef, lamb, bordelaise with peas and carrot with mashed potato is simply delicious! Staff are friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Nice atmosphere, reminds me of London Pubs. Fried haddock and a pint! This Pub was just a block away from our rented condo. Plenty of screens with sports (it was a weekend). Great for dinner, apps, drinks, especially cocktails. The fried haddock was fantastic. Slaw (which I normally never order out as it's never as good as Stef's) was pretty good with some malt vinegar added. Stef's crispy chicken sandwich was also excellent. Beer and bourbon by the glass was the normal Nashville price, a bit lower than Broadway with a better selection. Cocktails - this really shines here. A whiskey sour with premium liquor was less than $10. Prices overall for food seemed fair. Service was excellent. Great pint of bitter! I stayed across the road in the Thomson and was a lone traveler. I am British and I have travelled the world and seen many places that sell themselves as a 'Pub' This place really hit the spot. A really good atmosphere and great friendly staff. I ate one evening meal and that was excellent. I had been on holiday for 11 days in the USA and wanted a proper pint. My daughter and I decided to have lunch here while out shopping at the Green. It was a very beautiful day and people seemed to enjoy the outdoor seating. We sat inside and I'm glad we did because it gave me a chance to look around. Lots to look at. I got the fish dinner and my daughter got the burger with a pretzel bun and beer cheese. Both were delicious (we split our meals). We had the fried pickles for our appetizers. Just a bit of a warning on those....they were unexpectedly spicy, the dip had a sweet flavor. The food was fresh and hot when we got it, shoot my fish stayed hot the whole time I was enjoying it. The chips (fries) were soft and the coleslaw was good but had an onion flavor that stood out. The onion straws on my daughter's burger were more like onion rings to me. They were just thicker than I expected. I will go back, there was a brunch menu that I would like to try. They do have a rewards program that you can sign up for and I did 😊 Parking: There are lots of parking options. We parked in the free garage at the Green and walked around the area. Crispy battered fish We had a great dining experience here. We visited on a Thursday around 5:30pm and got seated right away with no wait. It’s located in the Mercato outdoor shopping area all the way at the end. The atmosphere here was great! We really enjoyed it. We were there during happy hour so they offered some nice drink specials on cocktails and drafts. I ordered the wee portion of the fish & chips. It comes with Cole slaw as well. It was all really good and I’m pretty picky about my Cole slaw, so that says a lot! The batter on the fish was very crispy and the fries were great too. We asked for some malt vinegar for our fries. The wee portion is plenty enough, I couldn’t even imagine getting the regular sized portion, I couldn’t even finish the wee size! It was $17.95 for the wee and $21.95 for the regular size. The Pub is a great Irish bar and restaurant in Pembroke Gardens. I absolutely love the aesthetic inside with the wooden bar and spacious interior. It also has a very large covered patio which would be nice on a cool day. My favorite draft beer there is the Old Speckled Hen. It has a great flavor for a beer where it isn't hoppy but it's refreshing and would highly recommend. They also have a great happy hour selection to which I ordered The haddock bites. They were fried fish bites that included lemon and two different dipping sauces. It's easily enough that can be eaten for a meal for one so keep that in mind. I had a fantastic time here, from the start, when Aaron welcomed me and got my drinks order. I was there for the England match and the fish and chips. We went to the Pub to watch one of the Florida Panther's games for the Stanley Cup finals. We arrived at around 8:15 pm and were seated immediately and had our choice of tables. The service was great. Our server, Anthony, was courteous and professional. He took our drinks orders and answered our questions about the menu with knowledge and good humor, and he checked on us periodically to see how we were doing. We ordered the Belhaven Beer Cheese appetizer. It was delicious! The pretzel bread was soft and warm. For dinner, I had the fish and chips and my husband the Pub Classic Burger. The fish was light and flaky, with the breading crispy but light. The coleslaw is also very good. The burger was excellent. For drinks we had whiskey sour and my husband had a beer, which was very cold and that made him happy. My first whiskey sour was great, but when the second one was more sour than anything else, Anthony made up for it by making sure the drink was done properly. We did not think anything was over priced at all. We were really happy with our experience at The Pub and plan to return to check out their trivia and Latin nights. - 6/12/2024
