St. Paddy’s Day Done Right in The Gulch We hit up this spot in The Gulch for St. Patrick’s Day and it did not disappoint. From the moment we walked in, the place had a lively, electric vibe — packed with good energy, great people, and all the green beer you could want. We grabbed a classic Guinness and a festive green beer (because you kinda have to), and both were poured perfectly. The bartenders were quick, friendly, and totally in the holiday spirit. The place was decked out with beads, music, and that classic pub atmosphere that just hits different during St. Paddy’s. The pub is our go to weekend lunch spot! We love the food and the atmosphere here. We have never had a menu item we didn’t completely love. From the Scotch eggs, to the fish and chips - you cannot go wrong. They also have brunch menu on Sundays and it’s kid friendly in the daytime 🙂 Evenings can get loud. I've been going to the pub for years. My favorite is the grapefruit and basil. I love the fish sliders, and before I developed allergies I loved their pretzel and beer cheese. Most recently though, I hosted a corporate event for 60 colleagues there. Dan, their manager, assisted me the last month in making arrangements and he was so friendly, easy to work with and capable as well as reassuring. We held a happy hour on the patio from 1-3pm on st Patrick's day weekend, which is a huge undertaking for an Irish pub and they accommodated us so seamlessly. Our servers Dylan, and Wes handled our very high maintenance crowd like champs. We had a buffet menu I had previously arranged with Dan and they kept it hot and full, including our desserts. Dylan and Wes were polite, fast paced, and hard working; the epitome of professionalism on a very hot day at the start of what I expected to have been a very long shift, and busy weekend. Can't reccomend this place enough for happy hour dates, corporate events, and especially at Christmas time it transports you to a British holiday eatery. - 3/16/2025

I’m a Guinness drinker and a huge fan of the rare-to-find Young’s Double Chocolate Stout. Both offerings were so awful — flat and watery — that for the first time ever I lost interest and stopped after a few sips. I reported to the manager, and she was indifferent and unpleasant. This was a business gathering & we intended to have a few rounds plus dinner, but this interaction soured us, so we just finished our business chat without ordering anything else. It is astonishing that a place like this would serve undrinkable guiness. I give 4 stars because I’m sympathetic to the struggles of restaurants and the place had been packed with happy customers for trivia activity, and the goat cheese we offered was really good, as was the soup that one of us ordered. We were in Nashville for Valentine's Day weekend and staying just around the corner from The Pub. We stopped in on Sunday for lunch, there was a good crowd and we were sat right away. You know when you're in a nice place and you can't tell whether it's a tourist stop or locals. People looked very comfortable and food and drinks being taken to the tables around us looked great. My wife ordered the fish and chips, wow, what a nice piece of fish. The breading was light and the chips were nice and crispy. We could have both ate from that plate, and for the most part that's what we ended up doing. I ordered the Reuben, it was so good! The problem was that my wife looked defeated with the size of her plate so we ended up taking the sandwich with us back to the hotel. And it was just a good a few hours later as it was when served fresh. This is a place that you could easily have a few drinks, a great meal, and be able to walk the shops of the Gulch. My husband and I love The Pub because the decor and atmosphere makes it as close to an actual British pub as you can get here in the middle of Ohio and the food and drink selections are lovely. We both love the fish and chips--truly the most authentic we've had--and I enjoy their salad as well. Great service round things out. Parking: Because this is part of The Greene it's difficult to find parking nearby but not hard to find parking. Be prepared for a small walk from the lot to the restaurant. Kid-friendliness: There are highchairs available. Wheelchair accessibility: Getting in the front doors could be interesting for a person in a wheelchair if they are on their own because they're kind of heavy. In Naples Mercato, for a special event, Santa Paws. Santa Claus sits by the Christmas tree for photo opportunity and you can bring your doggies as well! We visited The Pub for dinner prior to take picture with Santa! The décor is dark and warm inside, airy on the outside. Tonight, soft live music was provided by a soloist but I did not get her name. The main attraction is the large bar with an excellent selection of beers and drinks. Local Floridian beers are available as well popular beers from UK! I ordered a Smithwick Red Ale paired with their signature Fish and Chip. A huge piece of beer-battered Haddock over French Flies was cooked to perfection. Crunchy batter with moist Haddock filet is spot on! The creamy coleslaw is refreshing. Wife loved her Shepherd's Pie. The beef, lamb, bordelaise with peas and carrot with mashed potato is simply delicious! Staff are friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Nice atmosphere, reminds me of London Pubs. A British pub with a slight twist Actually went to this venue twice. The first time was for drinks. It is done out to look like a British bar and they have done a fairly decent job of it, At the bar you could get London Pride and Bombardier but I went for the Smithwick's which I have not had in absolutely years! A wonderful pint. I do need to say all the staff, both male and female, wear kilts. That is NOT typical of a British pub! Luckily the male staff kilts were not as short as the female staff members! We were served by Adam. I noticed he was wearing a Welsh wrist sweat band and mentioned it to Kim. She asked if she could have it. We got talking and his mother is welsh and his father is from Alabama. He could talk with an amazing Welsh accent and has visited his Nan in Wales a few times. It made for a wonderful evening. Unfortunately we were too late to order food. We went back a couple of days later (unfortunately Adam was not on duty). We ordered the Shepherds Pie, which strangely has both beef and lamb mince in so should be Shepherds/Cottage pie! It came in a big dish and covered in creamy mash. Fried haddock and a pint! This Pub was just a block away from our rented condo. Plenty of screens with sports (it was a weekend). Great for dinner, apps, drinks, especially cocktails. The fried haddock was fantastic. Slaw (which I normally never order out as it's never as good as Stef's) was pretty good with some malt vinegar added. Stef's crispy chicken sandwich was also excellent. Beer and bourbon by the glass was the normal Nashville price, a bit lower than Broadway with a better selection. Cocktails - this really shines here. A whiskey sour with premium liquor was less than $10. Prices overall for food seemed fair. Service was excellent. On a lazy Sunday we wanted Sunday dinner. Somehow we ended up at The Pub. Turned out to be a great decision. UK pub atmosphere with UK forward menu. My wife ordered Mum's Pot Roast and it was incredible. Flavorful with a nice mix of veggies and potatoes too. I had the fish and chips. I'd swear I got to whole fish. Flaky inside, crispy outside. Cooked perfectly. The fries , I mean chips, we excellent as well. The coleslaw was not my favorite, I tend to like it a little wetter (hold back your comments) but it was decidedly fresh and only a taste preference thing. Great pint of bitter! I stayed across the road in the Thomson and was a lone traveler. I am British and I have travelled the world and seen many places that sell themselves as a 'Pub' This place really hit the spot. A really good atmosphere and great friendly staff. I ate one evening meal and that was excellent. I had been on holiday for 11 days in the USA and wanted a proper pint. I drank several pints of beer here and despite my natural initial skepticism they were absolutely excellent. Which is probably the best compliment a British guy can give. My daughter and I decided to have lunch here while out shopping at the Green. It was a very beautiful day and people seemed to enjoy the outdoor seating. We sat inside and I'm glad we did because it gave me a chance to look around. Lots to look at. I got the fish dinner and my daughter got the burger with a pretzel bun and beer cheese. Both were delicious (we split our meals). We had the fried pickles for our appetizers. Just a bit of a warning on those....they were unexpectedly spicy, the dip had a sweet flavor. The food was fresh and hot when we got it, shoot my fish stayed hot the whole time I was enjoying it. The chips (fries) were soft and the coleslaw was good but had an onion flavor that stood out. The onion straws on my daughter's burger were more like onion rings to me. They were just thicker than I expected. I will go back, there was a brunch menu that I would like to try. They do have a rewards program that you can sign up for and I did 😊 Parking: There are lots of parking options. We parked in the free garage at the Green and walked around the area. The English Chips were just French fries. They have Old Speckled Hen on tap, as well as a Double Chocolate Stout that was delicious.
